Choose Kling 4.0 when…
Choose Kling 4.0 if your shots need many fixed beats — up to ten keyframes — and you can wait for the full release, or you already hold the Ultra yearly plan that unlocks Flash early access.
Video model alternative
Kling 4.0 was announced in late September 2026. Its Flash tier is in early access inside Kling's own app, and the full model is planned for October 2026; it is not available on Imgo. Compare Kling's announced specs with Seedance 2.0, which you can run on Imgo today.

Choose Imgo when you need to produce today: Seedance 2.0 in Imgo's video generator renders up to 15 seconds with image, video and audio references and native audio, next to image generation, editing and a shared asset library. Kling 4.0 itself is not available on Imgo.
The table describes documented capabilities and checks to make, without assigning unsupported scores or assuming a plan includes every tool.
| Decision factor | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Best suited to | Creators deciding whether to wait for Kling 4.0's full release, or to keep producing now with a model that is already live. |
| Image and video | Kling 4.0 is a video model in Kling's app, with an API still pending. Imgo hosts several video models, plus image generation and editing for the frames that feed them. |
| References and editing | Kling announces up to 10 keyframes and 15 combined references for the full model; Flash early access covers text-to-video, image-to-video and Omni Reference. Seedance 2.0 on Imgo takes image, video and audio references, and Imgo's video editor revises a finished clip by instruction. |
| Character and brand consistency | Until the full model ships, judge Kling 4.0 on Flash output only. Run the same character reference through Flash and through Seedance 2.0, and compare the face and wardrobe in the last second against the first. |
| API, batch, and team | Kling has not published a Kling 4.0 API or a date for it beyond October 2026. Imgo exposes batch, team and API surfaces around the models it hosts. |
| Price and free use | Kling has not published 4.0 API pricing; Flash early access comes with Kling's Ultra yearly plan. Kling 4.0 is not priced on Imgo, where every run quotes its credits live before you submit. |
Kling announces the full 4.0 model with 3- to 30-second clips, up to 10 keyframes, up to 15 combined reference assets (as many as 10 images, 5 videos and 7 subjects), stereo audio with improved lip sync, and 4K output; 10-bit HDR at 1080p and 4K is listed as coming soon. These are announced figures for a model that had not shipped by 2026-10-08. The Flash tier available now renders 3 to 20 seconds at 720p in 8-bit SDR.

Prompt
A 10-second 16:9 shot: a dancer in a red jacket spins three times on a wet rooftop at dusk while the camera circles once around her at waist height; city lights blur behind her, her jacket flares on each turn, and footsteps splash in time with the spins.
Input and controls
Use the same dancer reference image and 16:9 framing on both paths and generate three takes each; run Kling 4.0 Flash at 720p and Seedance 2.0 on Imgo at 10 seconds, and keep every take.
