Seedance 2 Fast
A Seedance 2 Fast video generator for drafts, social batches and low-cost iteration
Seedance 2 Fast is the fast variant of ByteDance's Seedance 2.0. It takes the same inputs — a prompt, start and end frames or up to 4 reference images, plus up to 3 reference videos and 3 reference audio tracks — and returns 5 to 15 second clips with native audio in six aspect ratios, at 480p or 720p. At 720p it is billed at about 55% of Seedance 2.0's per-second rate. Draft in Fast, then render the keeper in Seedance 2.0.

Core benefits
Practical value mapped to real production workflows.
Benefit
01
Cheaper drafts, same controls
Fast accepts every input Seedance 2.0 does: start and end frames or up to 4 reference images, up to 3 reference videos and 3 reference audio tracks, six aspect ratios and clips from 5 to 15 seconds. A prompt and reference set you tune here carries straight over to the full model.
Benefit
02
Built for batches
At 720p, Fast is billed at roughly 55% of Seedance 2.0's per-second rate, and the ratio is about the same at 480p. That makes it the cheaper way to try hooks, angles and aspect ratios for a social batch before you commit credits to a final render.
Benefit
03
Native audio included
Audio is generated with the picture and is on by default, exactly as on Seedance 2.0. Switch it off when the clip will carry your own voiceover or music.
Recommended workflow
A simple three-step path from source material to a reusable result.
Step 1
Draft in Fast
Write the prompt, attach frames or references, and generate several short takes at 480p or 720p to find the composition and motion that work.
Step 2
Pick the keeper
Compare the takes and lock the prompt, references, aspect ratio and duration that worked. The generator shows the credit quote before every run.
Step 3
Final render in Seedance 2.0
Switch the model to Seedance 2.0 with the same inputs when the shot needs 1080p, 4K or the extra fidelity — or ship the Fast take as it is when a draft is all the post needs.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Seedance 2 Fast and Seedance 2.0?
In Imgo they accept the same inputs, durations, aspect ratios and native audio. Fast stops at 720p and trades a little fidelity for a lower price — about 55% of Seedance 2.0's per-second rate at 720p. Seedance 2.0 also renders 1080p and 4K.
How much does Seedance 2 Fast cost?
It is billed per second of output. Until Volcengine publishes an official Fast rate, Imgo uses an estimate set at about 55% of Seedance 2.0's 720p rate. The generator shows the exact credit quote before you run.
Does Seedance 2 Fast generate audio?
Yes. Native audio is on by default and can be switched off. You can also attach up to 3 reference audio tracks.
How fast is it?
Fast is the speed-oriented variant of Seedance 2.0, but Imgo does not publish a guaranteed render time: queue load and clip length both change it. Time a small batch against Seedance 2.0 on your own prompts.
