Nano Banana 2 Prompts for Infographics and Diagrams
Two prompts that generate infographic layout, iconography, and palette as an editable base — a panel explainer and a process flow — with the real numbers set in a design tool afterwards.
How to use these prompts
The problem
Image models are unreliable typesetters. Ask one for a chart with real figures and you get plausible-looking labels that are subtly wrong, which is worse than no labels at all when the graphic carries data.
The method
Split the job. Generate the visual system — panel structure, icon style, palette, spacing, and illustrative shapes — with explicit blank label areas, then set every word and number yourself in a design tool over the generated base.

Panel explainer layout
Create a clean vertical infographic base explaining [topic] for [audience]. Lay out [panel count] stacked panels of equal weight, each holding one simple flat [icon style] icon on the [icon alignment] and a blank rectangular area beside it sized for two lines of text. Use a [palette] with one accent color reserved for emphasis, generous whitespace, and consistent corner radius. Leave a clear header band at the top. Render no letters, numbers, words, or any text-like marks anywhere.
- Model and input
- Nano Banana 2. Attach an existing brand palette swatch or a previous infographic when the new graphic has to match a house style.
- Suggested aspect ratio
- 4:5
- Replace these variables
- [topic], [audience], [panel count], [icon style], [icon alignment], [palette]
- Best for
- Instagram feed · LinkedIn · Pinterest
- Check the result
- Confirm the panels are evenly weighted, the blank text areas are genuinely empty, and no letter-like shapes crept into the icons.
Process or flow diagram frame
Design a horizontal [step count]-step process diagram base for [process name]. Space the steps evenly across a 16:9 frame, give each a simple [node shape] node containing one flat [icon theme] icon, and connect them with clean [connector style] connectors that show direction through shape alone. Use a [palette] that stays legible on a slide, with the final step visually emphasized. Reserve a blank caption strip under each node. No generated words, numbers, arrows with lettering, or axis labels.
- Model and input
- Nano Banana 2. Attach a slide from the deck this diagram will live in so the palette and weight match the surrounding pages.
- Suggested aspect ratio
- 16:9
- Replace these variables
- [step count], [process name], [node shape], [icon theme], [connector style], [palette]
- Best for
- Slides and decks · Website and landing pages · LinkedIn
- Check the result
- Check the step count is exactly right, the direction reads left to right without captions, and the caption strips are clear.
