Nano Banana 2 Reference Image Prompts
Reference-guided prompts for a new camera angle and a consistent visual style, with explicit preservation rules.
How to use these prompts
The problem
A reference can guide several things at once: identity, pose, palette, and camera angle. Separating those instructions makes it easier to see what the model followed.
The method
Attach a reference image in the generator and specify whether it is a subject reference or a style reference. If both matter, write separate sentences for the subject and the look. Run one variable change at a time.
Prompts to copy and adapt
New angle of an existing product
Use the uploaded [product] as the subject reference. Show the same object from a [new camera angle] on a neutral [surface]. Preserve its proportions, material, colors, logo position, and label text. Use [lighting] and leave clear space on the [side] for copy that will be added later.
- Model and input
- Nano Banana 2. Attach one owned product packshot with the label legible.
- Suggested aspect ratio
- 4:5 or 1:1
- Replace these variables
- [product], [new camera angle], [surface], [lighting], [side]
- Check the result
- Check silhouette and label before judging styling; a new angle can expose missing reference details.
Reuse a palette, change the subject
Create a photograph of [new subject] in [setting]. Use the reference image only for its [palette], [contrast], and [lighting mood]. Do not copy the reference's objects, people, or composition. Frame the subject at [shot size] with realistic texture and no text.
- Model and input
- Nano Banana 2. Attach a mood image you have rights to use; avoid reference images containing proprietary characters.
- Suggested aspect ratio
- 16:9 for a hero; 9:16 for social
- Replace these variables
- [new subject], [setting], [palette], [contrast], [lighting mood], [shot size]
- Check the result
- Check whether the new subject is distinct while the desired color and light remain recognizable.
